Team Bio's

Ray Glauser; Captain, Ray grew up sailing, surfing and windsurfing in Miami Beach, FL. When he moved to Maui in 1989 to practice Optometry, he started outrigger canoe paddling.  His involvement with sailing canoes over the last 25 years combined his love of sailing and paddling with his appreciation of Hawaii .  

Theresa (Tee) Felgate; Tee is one of Hawaii’s elite women paddlers, winning the prestigious Molokai Channel race (Na Wahine o Ke Kai) five times as well as the Masters Division the last few years.  She was also on the first women’s canoe sailing team to win the Ho’omana’o race in 1999.  She is a Health and Fitness consultant on Maui.  www.fitmaui.com

Darrell Belen; Darrell is a veteran Paddler for Maui’s Hawaiian Canoe Club and one of the famous “Bad Boy” crew.  He is also involved with promoting and judging local canoe races and surfing competitions and works for Maui County.

Bram DenHaan; Bram is an endurance athlete who competes in Ironman Triathlons and other adventure races.  He also promotes and organizes multi-sport and adventure races on Maui. Bram is a retired Maui Firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician.

Kirk Scott: Kirk is a triathlete and adventurer with Catamaran sailing and paddling experience. He currently volunteers at Kihei Canoe Club with their paddling and cultural programs. He is in a process of a voyaging quest to circumnavigate all the major Hawaiian Islands. His love affair with the ocean & all water sports has not waned since childhood in southern California.

Lopaka White: Lopaka is a dedicated paddler at Wailea Canoe Club as well as a surfer.  He is a Natural Resource Specialist working to help restore Kahoolawe.

Matt Daniels: Matt is a competitive  paddler who also has competed in windsurfing. He supports the HSCA through his company www.silverbackhawaii.com a producer of quality protective ocean wear.

Strong paddlers with a sense of adventure, love of the ocean and Hawaii, and ability to handle adversity are welcome to apply as crew.
